When Alicia and Chris moved to Northwest
Arkansas in the 1980's they knew right away they were home. It just felt right
and they fit in. Great schools, vibrant economy, and terrific social and
recreational choices give Northwest Arkansas big city amenities with a small
town feel. Their love of the area spills over into their career as leading real
estate professionals. They are anxious to show you the things that make
Northwest Arkansas the greatest place to live.
The Demarest's love getting out and enjoying
what the area has to offer. Whether it's water sports at Beaver Lake, Razorback
Athletics, camping at one of the many area State parks, attending functions at
the Walton Art Center or Arts Center of the Ozarks, cruising the winding back
roads on their Harley or enjoying a great night out at one of the fabulous
local restaurants, Northwest Arkansas can satisfy most tastes in entertainment
and recreation.

Alicia and Chris have four children ages 7
to 16. As you can imagine they are genuinely concerned about the community and
the schools. The Northwest Arkansas area offers some of the best schools in the
state. Local schools consistently receive national recognition for their
programs. Facilities are constantly being updated and most offer the latest in
technological advances. Springdale completed this year a renovation of the
public library, and built a state of the art aquatic park which complements the
city park and youth center in the heart of downtown. The Bernice Jones Center
for Families includes an ice skating rink, indoor aquatic center, basketball
court, theater, numerous meeting rooms and is free to the public.
Whether it's spending time with their
family, working on the PTA fundraiser, helping out at the Chamber of Commerce,
or working on their career as leading real estate professionals, they like to
have fun. "If you can't enjoy what you're doing, and do it with a smile then
don't do it". Alicia says. " I think one of the most important things in life
are the relationships you develop with the people you meet." Chris says. "We
love meeting new people", and helping them find a new home or sell their
current home is a great way to meet them.
Alicia's training as a customer service
manager and Chris' 20 years in the construction industry has helped them
develop a new and unique system to make your real estate experience enjoyable.
Alicia enjoys keeping you informed of the details of your transaction and
Chris' knowledge of building trades helps you make an informed decision about
which property to choose. This enables you to continue to enjoy your busy life
and handle your schedule while they handles the technicalities with
professional ease.

Sometimes a real estate agent will walk into a home that is basically attractive, yet communicates the feeling that something is lacking. Then the agent notices that all of the drapes are closed, interior lights are off and there is a lot of overgrown shrubbery blocking the sunlight that might otherwise pour through the windows.
A dark house is not as appealing to most buyers as one that is flooded with light. As a part of your preparations to market your home, try to maximize the light in your home. Make sure that all the windows are clean and the drapes are open when the house is being shown. A fresh coat of light paint can do a lot to brighten up the interior. If your house has very dark paneling, and you do not wish to repaint the walls, you may want to consider adding additional lamps. Your real estate agent may be able to provide other simple and cost-effective ideas about how to maximize your home's appeal.
